How We Select Topics
Topics are selected based on patient search behavior, gaps in available patient-facing information, and clinical relevance to our audience. We prioritize questions that real patients are asking that aren't being answered clearly by existing resources.
We do not accept payment to write about specific topics. Sponsored content is always clearly labeled.
How Content Is Written
All content is written with the following standards:
- Primary sources are preferred: published studies, clinical guidelines, and statements from recognized medical organizations (Endocrine Society, NAMS, etc.).
- Claims are attributed to their source. We distinguish between established consensus, emerging research, and contested areas.
- Language is patient-appropriate: clear, warm, and free of unnecessary jargon.
- Medical recommendations are avoided. We educate; we do not prescribe.
Medical Review Process
Articles that make specific clinical claims are reviewed by a healthcare practitioner with relevant expertise before publication. Reviewer credentials are disclosed on the article.
Updates and Corrections
Medical information changes. We review content regularly and update articles when new research or clinical guidelines warrant it. Update dates are reflected in article metadata.
If you identify an error or outdated information, please email us at hello@myhormoneguide.com. We take accuracy seriously and respond to correction requests promptly.
Independence
Our editorial team operates independently of our advertising and partnership functions. Advertisers, sponsors, and affiliate partners have no influence over editorial decisions, topic selection, or content.
AI-Assisted Content
Some content on MyHormoneGuide is produced with AI writing assistance. All AI-assisted content is reviewed, edited, and fact-checked by a human editor before publication. We use AI as a drafting tool, not as a replacement for editorial judgment or medical review.
